Responsibilities ⭐

As an assistant store manager, you are an important part of the daily operations in the store. You plan, lead, and distribute work in the store together with the store manager and work towards the company's set goals.

The role includes common tasks in the store such as sales, store layout and display, as well as cash and inventory work. You actively work with upselling, and reconciling and following up on sales reports is part of the daily work.

It is a given for you to deliver excellent customer service to maximize sales in the store, and you motivate and inspire your colleagues to do the same. You are involved in the store's staffing, and the role includes introducing new employees as well as training and developing the team in the store.

Qualifications 📑

We are looking for someone with previous experience working in retail and extensive customer service experience. You have experience in a similar role and are accustomed to working with staffing, personnel planning, and following up on key performance indicators. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of sports and leisure products and are skilled at conveying your knowledge to both colleagues and customers. We would like you to have previous experience in leading and organizing work and personnel.

You are an engaged and driven person who, through your positive attitude and clear communication, both to your colleagues and our customers, contributes to a good working environment. You are an unpretentious and honest person with great integrity and have a solution-oriented approach. You enjoy working towards set goals and are business-oriented and structured - achieving good results is a given for you. You have a genuine interest in sports and leisure products, and we hope you have an active lifestyle.

Conditions 🤝🏼

The position is a 100% temporary position that starts immediately and extends until August 31, 2027. The job involves varying working hours and weekend work may occur. Start date according to agreement, preferably as soon as possible.

We may conduct credit checks as well as background checks on the applicant.

In Sörred outside Gothenburg, we have our 20,000 sqm automated warehouse and office. In Grebbestad on the west coast is also our headquarters and our largest store, which is the largest sports store in the Nordic countries at 14,000 sqm.

Our stores are located throughout Sweden, from north to south, with a growing e-commerce that also extends to the European market. Sportshopen is today one of the larger individual players in Sweden in sales within sports and leisure. Our range mainly consists of clothing and shoes from leading brand suppliers, but we also develop and manufacture our own brands - clothing that can be used for activities in harsh climates, year-round.
